If I could give any piece of advice, it’d be to not plan it. We canceled the entire rest of the trip 3 days in because we wanted to spend more time exploring Oregon. There will be so much more than the 7 things you find on TikTok to see (yelling this @ myself)
I’ll tell you the stops that we made, but if I could go back, I would’ve spent even more time out there. Oregon and Washington are such beautiful places. And the redwoods. And Big Sur. Gawddd I could go on forever!
We did:
Calgary, Canada to Colombia Falls, Montana to
Leavenworth, Washington, to Canon Beach, Oregon to Lake Simtustus, Oregon to Bend, Oregon to Arcata, California (just for access to redwoods) to Carmel, California to Los Angeles!
Special things I highly recommend, out of it all:
Getting a pretzel in the Bavarian town of Leavenworth.
Crater Lake in Oregon. It is a once massive Volcano, post eruption, filled with water.
Grove of Titans Trail Hike in the Redwoods. Amazing. The biggest trees I’ve ever seen in my life.
The Painted Hills in Oregon. Feels like the clay biome in Minecraft. Enuff said
