This place is known for their clam chowder and in our opinion, it is tied for the best ever. We can see why they have won awards! It is stinkin’ good! The restaurant has some weird hours but on Saturdays, they are open longer. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We got seated right away and we love how the inside is decorated. It’s like an old mariner theme. You can buy the chowder to go as well! The menu has lots of great food options. We were here for lunch and decided to try a few things. Of course we had to split the bowl of the stinkin’ good clam chowder. Next, we show the salad with crab cakes, which was good, and also their special with was the Seafood Medley Roll and for the side we got potato salad, which was stinkin’ good potato salad! Our waiter was awesome as we have had him before. We also had a lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. It was tough to choose a dessert but we went with Raspberry Lemon Drop cake and it was stinkin’ good. Overall, it was a fantastic lunch and we give Tony’s Chowder House a stinkin’ good restaurant! We would highly recommend checking out this seafood restaurant in downtown Mount Dora!
